The new version of Outlook for Windows (Microsoft Outlook Version 1.2023.425.600 - Production) no longer allows me to open my old .pst archive files.

All documentation refers to a File menu that this version does not have at all.

This is insane. I've archived decades of valuable work emails in pst files because of limits on mail storage size that my organization puts in place. I can't just make them increase their capacities to accommodate me.

Am I going to be forced to use some 3rd party app (thunderbird or such) to access the microsoft outlook email files that microsoft won't support?

Absloutely crazy that you can't reload an old pst file into your outlook. What the **** to they think the archived folders are for? Microsoft outlook is absolute junk..

In my opinion, this is a serious problem for people like myself with +15 years of pst files stored and need the export/import feature. If the MS team is using Agile/SCRUM, the product owner should immediately update the sprint backlog. I am surprised that including the 'pst functionality' was not a top priority user story. Perhaps the scrum master will mention it to the team during the retrospective? Thank you for considering it.

Agree. Loved being able to archive my email. But Outlook without PSTs is not a very good email client.
