Calendar scrolling using the new outlook view.

I ABSOLUTELY, POSITIVELY, TOTALLY HATE THE NEW MICROSOFT OUTLOOK CALENDAR. Did I say I HATE, HATE, HATE it, and will not use it until I am forced to use it. I will continue to switch back to the old calendar until I am FORCED TO SWITCH TO IT. Totally terrible app now. I will keep posting to it when I am asked what I think about it that I HATE IT!!!! I want to be able to scroll down continuously to go from month to month. That was great, it had a continuity to it so that you could easily visualize every day from month to month. What Microsoft has done is RUIN a great app and made it TERRIBLE now. I will try to search for something better if I am forced to use it. It's TERRIBLE and it SUCKS!!!!!!

Well, at least as long as I can keep going back to the OLD Outlook calendar I will until I am ABSOLUTELY forced to use the new calendar. I want to be able to SCROLL DOWN VERTICALLY. The new calendar absolutely, totally sucks! For me, it's useless. It's great being able to scroll down and see each week from month to month. I totally love it that way. It is a step backward and makes it so irritating and useless to use. I hope it goes back to the way it was. I don't use Google calendar because it goes side to side and isn't much better than Outlooks. I don't understand how something that worked so great has been ruined to something absolutely useless.

Actually I don't think Google's calendar works any better. I, and a lot of other people on here like scrolling down from month to month. I do not like scrolling the months from side to side, and it jumps from month to month. Sure, you can see a few days from the last month, but with Microsoft Outlook's old look you could just scroll from week to week and see the last couple of weeks from the old month to the new month, it was so nice and user friendly. I won't be switching to Google's either and I will continue to go back to Outlook's old look until it forces me to switch, and then I'm not sure what I will do, I guess try to find some other app other than Google or Microsoft's calendars.

Exactly. My life doesn't magically transition on discreet boundaries just because someone decides here is where one month begins and ends, it's a continuum - Not being able to position that continuum is a UX decision that just beggars belief. Events and entries that span across the end of one month and the beginning of another are now hard to visualise for no good reason, it's a total regression.

This is an awful loss of functionality. Mid month, one wants to be able to see the next four weeks of engagements.

Doesn't anyone ever test these things from a user's point of view?

Reverting to Classic for now, but will look for other options. Like the barely heralded MDI-to-SDI switch in Excel, MS can't be trusted to preserve much-wanted features.
