When sending emails from QuickBooks with Outlook, edits are discarded and the mail is sent as created by Quickbooks.

Try this as per Microsoft

Thank you for your patience with me. Copy the text below and paste it to the Notepad file, then click on 'File' > 'Save as' and select your Desktop. Lastly, save it with the name 'Outlook.reg' (without the quotes) as a REG file. Note: Please remove the extension '*.txt', while saving the file.

Lastly, double-click on the REG file (Located on your Desktop) to merge it and restart your computer. After the change, please restart the PC and let us know the result. 

Hmm didn't work for me. Followed the instructions merged it successful and rebooted but emails from QB still don't save.

Not sure if I did something wrong.

You can also try manually adding it:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Common\ExperimentEcs\Overrides] "ofqmojruwvzbn60"="false"

1. Open Regedit and navigate to the path above
2. Right click on Overrides and click new String value
3. Name the string ofqmojruwvzbn60
4. Double click on the name and for Value data: put false

It will look like below.

NOTE: When this issue gets addressed you will need to remove the regkey or it could cause failures long term. Please keep track of this thread so we can make sure the key gets removed. Or, alternately put a reminder on your calendar with this post or the reg key to early next year and remind yourself to remove the key.

For this issue, you can also resolve it by going to the user's Outlook and change it from cached mode to online mode:

Then in QuickBooks, go to Edit -> Preferences -> Send Forms -> tick the "Use 'Plain Text' format for e-mailed invoices:

The Outlook Team just made a service change to remove the flight that was causing the issue. It might take up to four hours for Outlook to pick it up. After about four hours and a restart the issue should be mitigated.

To confirm the mitigation, remember to remove the registry key:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Common\ExperimentEcs\Overrides] "ofqmojruwvzbn60"="false"

After at least tomorrow please remove this registry key. It can cause other unexpected issues long term.
