It doesn't work for me either. There are a few features I really like on this new version but this is a major loss, really annoying. I also the change in design really makes me feel lost. I have made it as compact as possible but I'm still feeling like I'm missing things.

The PRE-Outlook 'moved' the functionality to My Day icon next to the minimize button, you have to drag your email to that to create an event or a task.

Agree. The only way to keep my day to day straight and not forget things is to drag emails into my calendar for reminders. Otherwise they must stay in my Inbox taking up space every day. Between this feature and removing the option to customize Inbox Columns (where is the "To" option!), there are some serious flaws with the upgrade. I hope they fix these issues, ASAP.

Using the My Day worked for me, but could they have not made this a little more user-intuitive? I don't keep the My Day open because it takes up too much space. So, instead of dragging to my calendar icon, I now have to click the My Day icon, drag the email, and then close the My Day.
