Since Outlook 365 was updated I can't drag my email to create a calendar event.

FORGET IT..... Doesn't work in the new Outlook, in fact the feature is not available!

This is an stupid design of 'New Outlook', sorry for my language, the drag and drop email to 'Calendar or To Do' DOES NOT work if you have conversation mode on (which most of corporate office users have it on always in USA), you have to first turn off conversation mode, when you see individual emails then only you can drag and drop. I will ask Microsoft programmer , Why did he or she do that?

Why not just add an option on right click menu on email and call same routine as you are calling after drag and drop? This would have saved 100 of thousands of users 10 or 20 min of their productive life. If you do the math, 100,000 x 10 = 1 Million minutes = 277 hours which is 277 @ $50/hour = $13,333 or if you double it it is $26 thousand (or $50K) just gone in garbage collectively or which is average salary of United State worker.

In my view the team of programmers worked on "New Outlook' are bunch of college freshers or straight from India who have not USED Outlook on a daily basis as rest of user's community using since last tens of years. This is definitely a "QA testing" issue of Microsoft and I am seeing such negative trend with Oracle cloud products also, no real time "product usage" experience by programmer before modifying its code and bringing 'low cost' CODER straight from Market/India.

Sorry for my negative feedback but I feel it is necessary for Microsoft to read and take it seriously action.

I commented on your link and left a link to this thread for them. How can there only be 60 people in the world feeling the outrage about this? Muster the troops people and tell your friends to comment on these links, is there some threshold tat needs to be magically passed.

Microsoft - ADD THIS FUNCTIONALITY BACK!!!!!!! I use it all the time and have for YEARS!!!!

Yes I know I can hit the "My Day" icon on the upper right and drag the email there to create an event, but now you're making me do a click and then drag the email. You've made it LESS EFFICIENT.

Please restore the ability to drag an email into the calendar to achieve the same function!

I really appreciate everyone who has posted a reply to the original post - we really do need to let Microsoft know that this not okay, and keep it up on the issues list for them. Only if we get a consolidation of concern and complaint will they even look at this. I know this is a big issue (including the one I posted about not being able to quickly discern read/unread e-mails since they removed the color and font changes).

Responses from their monitors have been less than placating - yes I know you are looking at this - but FIX it! And whoever is monitoring this for Microsoft - do your job and get this issue on the docket.

None of the replies for fixes works properly - are just work arounds, and create added (unnecessary) steps. And no, I can't delete tens, or almost one-hundred cc peopled just to create an appointment that should be just an activity or reminder from an e-mail. For Pete's sake, isn't Outlook supposed to help our productivity?????

I've reverted back to the original Outlook for months now and tried to give the new Outlook a chance for 3 months. I found my productivity declined missed deadlines, meetings, e-mails, etc. I've never ran into any software upgrades that actually was a significant set back overall. Bad on you Microsoft.
