Signatures in New Outlook for Mac have disappeared

On July 6 I installed the updates v16.63 (2207500) and in New Outlook the signatures from all four of the email accounts I have, have all disappeared. They are not visible in SIgnatures, and the '+' button in Edit Signatures does nothing – I can't recreate the signatures. I've upgraded to v16.63 (22070801) but no change.

I switched back to Legacy Outlook nd the signatures were all there, and I could edit and add signatures. Switching back to New Outlook, my signatures had reappeared, but once I restarted my MacBook, in New Outlook the signatures are not present and I cannot add any.

MacBook Pro (2012)

Mac OS Catalina Version 10.15.7

Microsoft 365 Business Standard

Any help gracefully received. I've tried the customer Customer Support button but the chat responses are painfully slow - conversation has been going on since July 7th with diagnostic questions taking 18-48 hours to appear.

    I want to point out some other errors also with Outlook that though not as serious as the Signatures completely disappearing, still an issue.

    1. Why do "sent" items stay in the inbox and go on top of the email? I don't want to sent my own sent items in the inbox, this is like gmail system and I HATE it. I cannot easily see what emails I need to address when my own sent emails are showing in inbox.
    2. Now emails I have addressed in my inbox I take them to a folder do not "move" to the folder, but rather "copy" - resulting in leaving the email still in the inbox. No idea what this also would be of value and makes sorting the inbox trouble yet again.
    3. Deleted items and Junk Mail. you can delete items from both of these but "ghost" emails remain, you cannot open, view or delete them, but they still "show" in the junk and trash bin. Yet another bug.

    Again all these 3 points are a not a deal breaker like Signatures, but nonetheless not working how a professional email should work. When will MS have ALL these bugs fixed? It states on this page here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/microsoft-365-office-2021-and-office-2019-support-for-apple-silicon-c55b603e-14a6-4b69-bdc0-2bb4c9a36834 you don't need a separate download or M1 chip, but actually you do. Zoom has a separate download for M1 chip Macs - maybe Outlook and other MS products should also?! If MS states that it doesn't need then it should deliver on a bug free app.

    FIXED:

    For those of you on Mac’s.  When we updated to the latest Outlook version, the signatures disappeared.  You can only get them back if you switch back to legacy mode.  Feel free to pass this on to anyone you know that uses a Mac.

    Here’s a permanent fix.  From Terminal, two lines need to be entered;

    // Reading the value

    defaults read com.microsoft.Outlook DisableSignatures

    2022-07-18 09:42:48.322 defaults[20309:460217]

    The domain/default pair of (/Users/[username]/Library/Containers/com.microsoft.Outlook/Data/Library/Preferences/com.microsoft.Outlook, DisableSignatures) does not exist

    // Change the value to false

    defaults write com.microsoft.Outlook DisableSignatures 0

    Restart Outlook when done.

    Hi Kris. Thanks for the reply. Sorry but I'm a bit of a novice when it comes to computers. Can you explain in smaller steps how you get Signatures to work in the new and improved ! Outlook - i.e. really simple terms as I'm a bit new to Mac's. Cheers
