How to remove [External] from Outlook emails, users are getting furious

Since early December all of our Outlook365 users (in all tenants) have been getting the tag [External] in the subject line of their Outlook, and want it removed. I am only finding PS scripts which do not work. I have searched the settings and security areas of the admin console but have not found anything. Please help!

    What a mess!! My inbox is now littered with the word "External" even when it's notifying me of DevOps or Teams messages. If Microsoft are wanting to provide features like this then at least allow users to remove it themselves!

    When will this be updated in a new release please?

    I would love to hear about that as well as it is very annoying and hard to find emails.

    Out of all of the annoying M365 features, you have outdone yourself with the "External" box on each e-mail. Have you considered moving it to the right so it doesn't cover the name of the sender? Thanks.
