Have you read through this post??
New outlook does not have the rules functionality. Yet. No ETA. New outlook is new and stupid.
look for your old outlook on your machine. Outlook.com. That’s what I did.
I have Outlook version 2402 (Build 17328.20068 click-to-run). Running WIN 11.
Everything works, including address book. Only issue I have found so far is where the Outlook pgm goes into the synchronization process. Sometimes it goes into this mode and sticks there forever resulting in the Outlook pgm basically stuck in frozen mode where nothing works. Only way to clear it is to restart PC. All other programs are not affected by this, only Outlook. The syncronization of mailboxes or containers (whatever) is a normal process. Perhaps a future update will address this glitch. Have forwarded my concerns to Microsoft but not holding my breath for any quick solution!
Just a further comment. I note some people are mentioning the New Outlook and the 'RULES' function is inoperable or non-existant. I am running Outlook Version 2402 (Build 17328.20068 click-to-run) and the rules function works just fine. If there is a newer Outlook version, I'd like to see it. Can someone forward the version for it?
My only issue with Outlook is where the folders get synchronized. Sometimes the synchronization on a particular folder just keeps going which renders Outlook unusable. Only way to clear it is to do a restart. Other programs are not affected.
Thanks.
