My main email is gmail. I’m using outlook on my laptop purely as a front end but with IMAP. No issues with rules on my laptop.

    I agree with JLUSMC

The issue has never been about the ability to set rules, all on this chain know the basics of how to set do that. The issues is about the automated running of them that is no longer available which more advanced users use.

So this does not close this issue, and all still need Microsoft attention in order to resolve it

This does not work for my messages that are not Gmail BUT are from other domains (not Microsoft).

I am struggling to understand why there is a need to reinvent Outlook in the first place. Other than making it cheaper for Microsoft to maintain??? Leave it alone, it works well.

I am using the new Outlook. Rules do not show up as an option when I right-click on a message.

Go to Mozilla Thunderbird. It's everything Outlook should be.
