how to set email rules in new version of Microsoft Outlook Version 1.2023.516.100 (Production)

Mine does not have Advance Action?

If you're using imap the rules are set on the server. I could not find a way to implement rules when using a pop account.

I WISH WHO EVER UPDATED THIS NEW OUTLOOK GOT FIRED AND WON'T FIND ANY JOB ANYWHERE!!! JUST SO STUPID UPDATE! I CAN'T EVEN USE THE RULES SETTINGS ANYMORE!

I have found that the new Microsoft Outlook currently does not support rules. The only way to apply rules for the inbox is to create and run them on the server the email is being retrieved from. If using pop3, messages that have been moved will not appear in the inbox and will not be downloaded. If using imap, the moved emails will be in the folder it was directed to by the rule.

I'm having difficulty with the way rules work in the 3 different environments that MSO offers: web, PC, mobile. They all seem to work independently and cause confusion and a lack of functionality.

I took the (large amount of time) to set up many rules in MSO365 on the web, thinking that these would be server-based rules and run ahead of the client (MSO365 for PC), and also provide rules for the MSO365 for iOS. What I find is that none of the rules set up on the web affect the results on either the mobile or PC environment! I had to recreate many of the rules on the PC, and of course there is no way to create rules on mobile, so I can't filter anything there!!

This is very frustrating. The only thing that appears to transfer from the web version to both the PC and mobile versions is the creation of new folders.

Why is the whole rules process so cumbersome and lacking any sort of conformity?
