I have comcast and a go Daddy work e-mail

Go Daddy works fine for managing rules ( putting your incoming mail in the folder it needs to be in )

I just changed back to classic Outlook I cannot take it any longer - not being able to move any GoDaddy e-mail into a Comcast folder

and not being able to make rules for incoming mail. ( I don't even have the opportunity to make a rule - it simply is not listed as an option)

I am too frustrated to wait any longer for a solution... feel like I am missing incoming emails and wasting my time looking for them.

    Bye - New Outlook

The problem is that in new Outlook, rules do not work for (e.g.) gmail.com emails as they used to. There is no option for setting such rules any more. Old Outlook (2401) works just fine.

Please see my correction. The new outlook including 365 does not allow rules.

I have reverted to the old outlook, see my post on how to do this. Old outlook can co-exist with the new outlook.

You are correct. I confirmed with MS support. Following is the response from MS:

We are very sorry for any trouble you have experienced with the new Outlook. The new Outlook is still in the preview stage and some features are not fully developed yet. One of these features is the Rules option for IMAP and Cloud cache email accounts, which is a known issue with the product, and we do not have an ETA for its resolution.If this feature is essential for your work, you can use the classic Outlook until the issue is fixed, or you can switch between the two versions as youwish. By clicking on this toggle will take you back to classic Outlook for Windows.We appreciate your feedback and patience on this matter. Is there anything else we can help you with today?Best regards!

But for the life of me, I do not know how I created a rule this morning and ran it manually, and it worked. I have not been able to replicate it. The classic version doesn't allow it either.

My apologies for getting everyone excited and more so for the effort I am sure a lot of folks expended trying to set rules and finding it wasn't happening.

I am using the new Outlook. Rules do not show up as an option when I right-click on a message.
