Go to Mozilla Thunderbird. It's everything Outlook should be.

    I agree with JLUSMC

The issue has never been about the ability to set rules, all on this chain know the basics of how to set do that. The issues is about the automated running of them that is no longer available which more advanced users use.

So this does not close this issue, and all still need Microsoft attention in order to resolve it

My main email is gmail. I’m using outlook on my laptop purely as a front end but with IMAP. No issues with rules on my laptop.

Do you have Microsoft NEW outlook on your laptop? Right click on messages should bring up a list of options and rules is one of them.

The issue is that rules NO LONGER RUN AUTOMATICALLY!

Which means that EACH time you open outlook you'd have to open an run each rule manually.
