Outlook App on Android keeps crashing when trying to open an email

My Outlook App won't open. I'm receiving notifications that I'm getting new mail and I can read the first couple of lines (in the notification ) but if I want to open the email to read the who thing by double clicking on it the email tries to open through the app and this crashes. To resolve this, I've already updated all the apps on my phone, rebooted the phone twice (once with a full reset). I have then tried to uninstall the outlook app and reinstall it but it says you need to deactivate the app first and you can't do this. I've also checked that the rest of the MS apps are working (word / excel etc) and they seem to be opening fine

Not sure how to resolve this issue as I didn't realise how much I read my emails on my phone until this glitch happened!

I hope you wonderful community can explain what's happening and how to resolve it

    Very frustrating, same issues as above

    Changed from ipad to android as Microsoft was not compatible, now this issue, have little faith in

    Updates.

    Outlook just stopped opening on my android phone.

    I've cleared the cache, cleared app date, uninstalled Outlook, restarted my phone and reinstalled - nada, zilch, diddly squat.

    Have you performed another untested update that made this occur?

    If your plan is to deter and alienate your users, I have to say you are succeeding.

    Version 4.2240.0

    Check this morning and it still isn't in the Play Store for the Samsung A13s.

    🤣 you are lucky that's an old version, the latest is 4.2243.1. Presumably MS haven't updated the Xiaomi yet, it might be an idea to switch off auto updates while you still can
