Using Classic Outlook on Windows for personal email, calendar, and contact management
Not sure if this will confuse things and whether it's relevant (or just an unrelated issue) but we've had a laptop with Office 365 installed to it (so nothing to do with RDS or FSLOGIX) and that has also had the 1001 error for a few days when opening Outlook but I've uninstalled and reinstalled Office and removed their Outlook profile data and it's still been showing the 1001 error even if I try to add a different users email account however I've just done a search in the registry for anything that has their email address in and removed anything that looks like it's linked to Outlook or anything that has licence in the title (there was one called licencetoemail) and removed all of these (no reboot) and this has worked.
Unfortunately I didn't make a note of the reg keys and so this won't help but thought I'd mention it in case anyone else gets major issues that they can't resolve with the usual fixes given here but I'd be interested to hear if anyone else has this issue on a non RDS/FSLOGIX system as well ?
We've only had this one issue outside of RDS and (fingers crossed) we've had no Outlook issues on RDS for the past 2 days but I've found that Office has updated to 16.0.16731.20234.
The only changes I've made (yesterday) were to enable the Roam Identity to enabled and changed the temp files to push to a local drive as opposed to the FSLOGIC container
Thanks
