I mostly use only my keyboard to type, the dropdown option on the keyboard makes it extremely convenient to access the spell check options. This is a right click function, since changing it to left click this functionality has been lost.
Having to stop typing and using the mouse to left click every time is iritating and frankly a waste of time / disruptive. It makes no sense to change a function that has been a staple since the start of spellchecking without providing an option to change it back!!

From the New Outlook on desktop, go to Settings>General>Privacy Data>Privacy Settings.
Enable "Turn on experiences that analyze your content."
Close and reopen New Outlook.
Now, if you left click on an underlined word it should bring up spelling suggestions.
This issue is what brought me to this thread.
Frustrating as hell, and I end up deleting the message that I am while I try to correct my spelling error without using spell check. This is recent change. I have had spell check for some time in outlook new.
MS, please fix this!!
I would like to add my feedback that changing this from a right click option to left is an annoying and pointless change. Left click for cursor placement, right click for more options including spelling suggestions, like everything else. I seriously question not only whoever suggested this change but the multiple people who it must have gone through to be accepted.
I have the same issue as many others, the spell check suggestion box actively stops me from manually editing the word with my keyboard. I then have to click away from the word then navigate my cursor back into it with the keyboard to be able to edit. As this also disables my ability to edit the email it throws any keyboard actions out to the main Outlook window, so , when I try to backspace to manually correct as I have for many many years, it now deletes the email I'm on, not intuitive or useful. I will be returning to old Outlook until this is resolved.
This is why I am here. This only seems to have changed over the last month or so. The misspelt word is underlined, but I am unable to fix the error myself. So annoying.
