Spell check on "new" outlook does not work anymore when right clicking - change it back!

I mostly use only my keyboard to type, the dropdown option on the keyboard makes it extremely convenient to access the spell check options. This is a right click function, since changing it to left click this functionality has been lost.

Having to stop typing and using the mouse to left click every time is iritating and frankly a waste of time / disruptive. It makes no sense to change a function that has been a staple since the start of spellchecking without providing an option to change it back!!

    This problem is now occurring in the classic version of outlook, even with the "Try the new Outlook" button set to "Off". Curiously, I do not experience the issue in Chrome while typing this reply.

    Please return the right click spell check function to all versions of Outlook. Trying to force people to un-learn decades of muscle memory with longer and less efficient ways of typing is moving backwards, not forwards.

    Found this solution on another thread. Go to the word and press ALT + Down. Using Outlook on Windows. For Mac I use Shift + F10.

    Unsure if this is directly related. I can left click on a misspelled word and get spellcheck suggestions. However, when I click on a misspelled word, it does not let me type while the spellcheck menu is open. So, if the word you meant to type is not one of the options in the spellcheck menu, you have to click out of the word and maneuver yourself back to the word to correct it manually. This is insanely tedious and unintuitive.

    Microsoft, please get this sorted. Just give us a checkbox to disable this infuriating behaviour. Or, if such a checkbox already exists, tell us where to find it.

    Not every word I want to use is in the dictionary. And even if it is, it's often quicker for me to click into the word and type (or delete) one letter than to scan the list of suggestions looking for the word I need.
