Outlook for MAC is not syncing sent folder for IMAP account

Hello,

Has anyone seen an issue where the outlook app on MacBook pro is not syncing sent messages in the local sent folder with the sent folder on the email server? This issue is for a domain and email hosted through a 3rd party hosting provider. The outlook app uses IMAP settings to connect to the email account.

The emails, however, are being sent to the destination, and it is just that a copy stored in the sent folder of the outlook app is not syncing with that of the email server through IMAP.

I would appreciate any ideas on how to fix this. Many thanks for considering my request.

this is an awful solution ie lose all sent mails just to recover a broken mapping by MS! honestly the products are getting worse and worse...

I can clearly see on my side that the "New" outlook for me stopped syncing "Any" IMAP folders on or after the 26th July, I am still trying to get the best way forward to syncing all emails to my server account without data loss, this is absolutely unacceptable from any modern software company, switching to legacy mode loses all new data / emails that have been moved to IMAP directories, what a complete mess! I am in a good mind of finding out how best to bill my time back to MS in order to rectify this mess while i consider moving to a newer email client that is more robust.

Proof that outsourcing software development is more costly to the end user!

    I perfectly agree with you.

No way the solution is to loose email, nothing you can accept in a business environment.
