Cannot manually sort folders with new Outlook

Hi All

I'm loving the new Outlook, however I'm having real difficulty manually sorting my email folders.

Clicking & dragging the folder, only allows me to drop the folder INTO another folder, but doesn't allow me to drop it in between other folders (meaning I cannot re-arrange / sort the folders manually).

Right clicking the folder and clicking "Move", again only allows me to move the folder INTO another folder. There is no "move up or down" option unfortunately.

It is currently sorting my folders in alphabetical order, but I wish to change this. I have been through all the settings and cannot find anywhere I can manually sort my email folders.

Can anyone assist?

    Hello @microsoft,

    We are a lot of people that already took the time to post here to kind of letting you know that this is very important to us, can you imagine how many people are currently struggling with this and will not even consider taking some time to create a post to get feedback from you? Change your old ways be more proactive with your products. How is it possible that a feature like organizing folders gets removed completely instead of getting some improvements to the functionality that we already had before? Stop embarrassing yourselves and come up with a real solution to this problem please.

    I can agree with everyone that this function is needed ASAP for people with many folders. Takes time to find the right folder as it is now. Otherwise I like the new Outlook. Please find a solution for this

    I agree, i need this feature, this is the only reason i am still using classic outlook and will not use new outlook until this is sorted

    Agree with everyone here. Also, would like to arrange the entire account folders as I wish, particularly in the Calendar and Contacts section of the program.

    Some people may prefer to use Hotmail as the primary email while choosing to have Gmail/Google as the primary contact manager (for example if they have an Android phone). Same is true of the Calendar section.

    I would like to request the ability to rearrange different account folders in all 3 sections (Mail, Calendar, Contacts), in addition to being able to rearrange folders within each account.

    Tried the new Outlook today, found out you can't rearrange folders, straight back to classic. How this isn't implemented yet is beyond me.
