Cannot manually sort folders with new Outlook

Hi All

I'm loving the new Outlook, however I'm having real difficulty manually sorting my email folders.

Clicking & dragging the folder, only allows me to drop the folder INTO another folder, but doesn't allow me to drop it in between other folders (meaning I cannot re-arrange / sort the folders manually).

Right clicking the folder and clicking "Move", again only allows me to move the folder INTO another folder. There is no "move up or down" option unfortunately.

It is currently sorting my folders in alphabetical order, but I wish to change this. I have been through all the settings and cannot find anywhere I can manually sort my email folders.

Can anyone assist?

Thank you

Thomas

Appreciate this recommendation in the interim!

Works well as a quickfix, thank you! My challenge however, is that I have thousands of users on my network, and as IT Management, have to solve this issue for many users, including Executive level who require this.

Does Microsoft understand we are put in a position of "Doing our best", rather than offer enterprise-level solutions, fit for purpose and offering functionality that other solutions have available, at zero cost to company?

At bare minimum, all I ask is that there is proper acknowledgement of this, and a commitment from Microsoft that there is a solution on the roadmap. To date, we have seen nothing, for a long-standing issue.

I'm half expecting to open my Microsoft Calculator at some stage, only to find out it has been "upgraded" to an Abacus.

I have been searching for an answer to this problem when I stumbled upon this support article which suggests it is possible to re-order mail folders in the new Outlook - Change the order of folders in the Folder Pane in Outlook - Microsoft Support

The "Custom folder order" doesn't exist, of course, so not only is there a basic function missing in new Outlook, but the support information is incorrect!
