Cannot manually sort folders with new Outlook

Hi All

I'm loving the new Outlook, however I'm having real difficulty manually sorting my email folders.

Clicking & dragging the folder, only allows me to drop the folder INTO another folder, but doesn't allow me to drop it in between other folders (meaning I cannot re-arrange / sort the folders manually).

Right clicking the folder and clicking "Move", again only allows me to move the folder INTO another folder. There is no "move up or down" option unfortunately.

It is currently sorting my folders in alphabetical order, but I wish to change this. I have been through all the settings and cannot find anywhere I can manually sort my email folders.

Can anyone assist?

    Finally, they did it! Took a long while, but we got there. Thank you everyone for contributing your voices, no doubt all your feedback helped to eventually push forward this very basic & fundamental change.

    What version of Outlook are you using? I don't seem to have this option yet.

    I'm using the "New" outlook, Outlook Version 1.2024.1009.100 (Production).
    I guess it's possible they are doing a gradual rollout, rather than big bang. I must be one of the lucky ones! Just make sure you update your Outlook / Microsoft 365 regularly.

    I also have version 1.2024.1009.100
