Cannot manually sort folders with new Outlook

Hi All

I'm loving the new Outlook, however I'm having real difficulty manually sorting my email folders.

Clicking & dragging the folder, only allows me to drop the folder INTO another folder, but doesn't allow me to drop it in between other folders (meaning I cannot re-arrange / sort the folders manually).

Right clicking the folder and clicking "Move", again only allows me to move the folder INTO another folder. There is no "move up or down" option unfortunately.

It is currently sorting my folders in alphabetical order, but I wish to change this. I have been through all the settings and cannot find anywhere I can manually sort my email folders.

Can anyone assist?

Thank you

Thomas

I agree, this function is extremely important and useful when I must save emails in a specific order. Please fix asap!

    Bump.

I'd like to know what information is used to make decisions to modify or remove a feature like this. Are feature changes based on real user input or mostly guesswork and/or competing business priorities?

See above post from Joseph Julig for a workaround.

Try using numbers on your folders, its not perfect but it works for me.

Agree 100% - seems like a big miss in development and should be fixed ASAP.
