Using Classic Outlook on Windows for personal email, calendar, and contact management
This is so helpful and definitely a relief while we wait on a fix! It makes so much sense and I appreciate you sharing it.

Hi All
I'm loving the new Outlook, however I'm having real difficulty manually sorting my email folders.
Clicking & dragging the folder, only allows me to drop the folder INTO another folder, but doesn't allow me to drop it in between other folders (meaning I cannot re-arrange / sort the folders manually).
Right clicking the folder and clicking "Move", again only allows me to move the folder INTO another folder. There is no "move up or down" option unfortunately.
It is currently sorting my folders in alphabetical order, but I wish to change this. I have been through all the settings and cannot find anywhere I can manually sort my email folders.
Can anyone assist?
Thank you
Thomas

I found a work around but I am not sure if you would like it. If you put a number before the name, it will move them up or down on the list.
01 Important
04 IT Department
02 HR Department
In the following example it will put HR a head of IT, it works good for me just thought I would offer this up.
bump......
Adding a vote to bring this feature ASAP. I do like the clean visual aesthetic of the new outlook. But 'sorting' folders via favorites is not a particularly useful work-around; especially when using outlook w/ multiple mail accounts. The sorting option is needed w/in each account folders group. Thanks
Bumping this again. This is a very frustrating problem. Please fix it.
