Cannot manually sort folders with new Outlook

Hi All

I'm loving the new Outlook, however I'm having real difficulty manually sorting my email folders.

Clicking & dragging the folder, only allows me to drop the folder INTO another folder, but doesn't allow me to drop it in between other folders (meaning I cannot re-arrange / sort the folders manually).

Right clicking the folder and clicking "Move", again only allows me to move the folder INTO another folder. There is no "move up or down" option unfortunately.

It is currently sorting my folders in alphabetical order, but I wish to change this. I have been through all the settings and cannot find anywhere I can manually sort my email folders.

Can anyone assist?

Thank you

Thomas

I came here for the same reason.

How utterly ridiculous that a software developer would remove a feature just because they don't appreciate that some people want to change their UI. your vision for the ideal UI isnt the best for everyone, stop focusing on UI and think about UX, its far more important.

manually sorting subfolders is a MUST. I am not switching to the new Outlook until this is figured out. My colleagues have also opted out of using new outlook due to this BASIC function missing.

Agree 100% - seems like a big miss in development and should be fixed ASAP.

Try using numbers on your folders, its not perfect but it works for me.

See above post from Joseph Julig for a workaround.
