Cannot manually sort folders with new Outlook

Hi All

I'm loving the new Outlook, however I'm having real difficulty manually sorting my email folders.

Clicking & dragging the folder, only allows me to drop the folder INTO another folder, but doesn't allow me to drop it in between other folders (meaning I cannot re-arrange / sort the folders manually).

Right clicking the folder and clicking "Move", again only allows me to move the folder INTO another folder. There is no "move up or down" option unfortunately.

It is currently sorting my folders in alphabetical order, but I wish to change this. I have been through all the settings and cannot find anywhere I can manually sort my email folders.

Can anyone assist?

Thank you

Thomas

    Good morning,

Switching to the new Outlook is seriously impacting my productivity with the lack of basic sorting options. Please make this a priority update, this has been requested by users for months.

    Thank you

Why is this not mentioned in the release notes for Microsoft 365 Apps?

Just switched to the New Outlook and I was surprised to see that this basic functionality is absent from the app.

    Microsoft please fix!

Also asking for this to be considered a priority update, it's making managing my emails a nightmare!

Another work around is to rename folders and add sequential numbers to sort in your folders in a preferred order vs. alphabetical. Microsoft should definitely add the option to manually sort folders (without the numbering my least used folder is at the top of the list!)
