Cannot manually sort folders with new Outlook

Hi All

I'm loving the new Outlook, however I'm having real difficulty manually sorting my email folders.

Clicking & dragging the folder, only allows me to drop the folder INTO another folder, but doesn't allow me to drop it in between other folders (meaning I cannot re-arrange / sort the folders manually).

Right clicking the folder and clicking "Move", again only allows me to move the folder INTO another folder. There is no "move up or down" option unfortunately.

It is currently sorting my folders in alphabetical order, but I wish to change this. I have been through all the settings and cannot find anywhere I can manually sort my email folders.

Can anyone assist?

    If you change the name of the folder that's in the wrong spot alphabetically (such as by putting a "z" in front of the name), it will move the folder to the correct spot (the end of the list in my "z" example).

    It doesn't works for one simple reason: the program doesn't lets you change the name for the default folders: let's say I want to move the "Drafts" folder way down to the bottom, according to your suggestion, I'd have to rename it to something like "Z Drafts", am I right?, but turns out, the damn "New" Outlook won't even let me change that folder's name.

    Yes it sort of works - it worked for some folders for me (when I removed the letter, it stayed in place) - but for other folders it moved them back in alphabetical order whenever I rename them...

    If you want to try:

    Arrange all folders as you'd like to see them appear by renaming them, adding 1 letter in front of each: (a., b., c.,) - Outlook will then automatically rearrange the folders in your chosen order. Then, click on "rename" and remove the letter at the front. It might stay where you placed the folder!

    I might have found a work-around to move a subfolder into the correct position alphabetically. If you change the name of the folder that's in the wrong spot alphabetically (such as by putting a "z" in front of the name), it will move the folder to the correct spot (the end of the list in my "z" example). Next, go to the same folder and change the name back to normal. It should move it back to the correct spot. Not ideal, but at least I can find my folders now.
