I'm loving the new Outlook, however I'm having real difficulty manually sorting my email folders.
Clicking & dragging the folder, only allows me to drop the folder INTO another folder, but doesn't allow me to drop it in between other folders (meaning I cannot re-arrange / sort the folders manually).
Right clicking the folder and clicking "Move", again only allows me to move the folder INTO another folder. There is no "move up or down" option unfortunately.
It is currently sorting my folders in alphabetical order, but I wish to change this. I have been through all the settings and cannot find anywhere I can manually sort my email folders.
Can anyone assist?

No, the issue equally applies to all New Outlook folders, both our own and the program's default ones: the software won't let us manually move and rearrange them.
There are only a few folders that Microsoft adds to outlook. I think the problem most people are referring to on this thread is when they create their own folder structure, which can get quite large if you are trying to organize everything that comes through your inbox. I probably have a couple hundred folders that have accumulated over the last decade. For those folders that you create yourself, the new outlook can screw up the organization, which makes it impossible to find a folder that is no longer sorted alphabetically. The fix I referred to relates to putting your own custom folders back in alphabetical order.
If you change the name of the folder that's in the wrong spot alphabetically (such as by putting a "z" in front of the name), it will move the folder to the correct spot (the end of the list in my "z" example).
It doesn't works for one simple reason: the program doesn't lets you change the name for the default folders: let's say I want to move the "Drafts" folder way down to the bottom, according to your suggestion, I'd have to rename it to something like "Z Drafts", am I right?, but turns out, the damn "New" Outlook won't even let me change that folder's name.
...a workaround is to name your folder with numbers at the beginning since folders are sorted alphabetically...
This isn't a solution because the program doesn't allows us to rename the default folders.

Correct, you cannot change the name of the default folders in Outlook. It only works for the ones that you create.
