Cannot manually sort folders with new Outlook

Hi All

I'm loving the new Outlook, however I'm having real difficulty manually sorting my email folders.

Clicking & dragging the folder, only allows me to drop the folder INTO another folder, but doesn't allow me to drop it in between other folders (meaning I cannot re-arrange / sort the folders manually).

Right clicking the folder and clicking "Move", again only allows me to move the folder INTO another folder. There is no "move up or down" option unfortunately.

It is currently sorting my folders in alphabetical order, but I wish to change this. I have been through all the settings and cannot find anywhere I can manually sort my email folders.

Can anyone assist?

Thank you

Thomas

Bumping this almost a year later - this is a feature that is necessary for employees with large volume of emails. I have over 50 folders and were all in a specific spot before I switched to the New Outlook and I can't even figure out how New Outlook sorted them. I thought it might be alphabetical but it doesn't appear so.. please make this update a priority

This is typical Microsoft, create a new version of a product and not include all the features which make the product usable.

The ability for the user to sort files in any order desired is a basic feature and not some new thought or concept. This is a reason why Microsoft is one of the most used products on the planet and one of the most hated companies as well. Microsoft has a general disregard for its users and their abilities. Microsoft continually forgets their products are just tools, like a screwdriver.

    Peace,

    John

How has it been over a year and Microsoft has not been able to fix something so simple yet so crucial?!

Thats what i'm thinking. The folder structure has been changed on the MS webmail for quiet a while. It is obviously super inconvenient to be stuck with 6 obsolete folders at the top of the list, but it seems the topic just doesnt bother enough people which makes it convenient to ignore.
