Cannot manually sort folders with new Outlook

Hi All

I'm loving the new Outlook, however I'm having real difficulty manually sorting my email folders.

Clicking & dragging the folder, only allows me to drop the folder INTO another folder, but doesn't allow me to drop it in between other folders (meaning I cannot re-arrange / sort the folders manually).

Right clicking the folder and clicking "Move", again only allows me to move the folder INTO another folder. There is no "move up or down" option unfortunately.

It is currently sorting my folders in alphabetical order, but I wish to change this. I have been through all the settings and cannot find anywhere I can manually sort my email folders.

Can anyone assist?

    A possible solution for businesses is to move to Thunderbird. It's based on an older version of MS Outlook and has all the features we've used for time management. For years I have trained my employees and helped associates use MS Outlook as a time management tool because of their great features. I even created training videos on how to use this benefit. Most of these features are now missing, indicating MS does not value the needs of their users. It's time to start finding our solutions elsewhere if MS does not value our needs. I do not have enough time in my day to continue to search for new solutions that bring no value or continue to follow these posts only to see that MS does not care enough to interact or fix problems for features that should never have left their interface.

    This worked for me until I restarted Outlook, then the numbers were ignored and it was back to alphabetical order.

    So I revamped your system into a letter+number system:

    a.1

    a.1.1

    a.2

    a.2.1

    a.2.2

    ...continue to a.9, then start with b:

    b.1

    etc.

    Another related issue is that I can only move Personal folders into Favorites, can not move any 'Shared with Me' folders. They have had plenty of time to adjust these issues, why is there such lack of support and listening to what user's want and need that was actually available on the old version. Quite short sighted to remove commonly used features.

    I am still using the Classic Outlook, yesterday outlook automatically sorted my folders alphabetically and I have lost the ability to manually sort.

    I have a lot of folders, and this has slowed my workflow considerably.

    Please put the ability to manually sort my Inbox Folders back.

    Somehow over a year on and this is still an issue. Such a basic feature that needs to be carried over please sort this!
