Hi All
I'm loving the new Outlook, however I'm having real difficulty manually sorting my email folders.
Clicking & dragging the folder, only allows me to drop the folder INTO another folder, but doesn't allow me to drop it in between other folders (meaning I cannot re-arrange / sort the folders manually).
Right clicking the folder and clicking "Move", again only allows me to move the folder INTO another folder. There is no "move up or down" option unfortunately.
It is currently sorting my folders in alphabetical order, but I wish to change this. I have been through all the settings and cannot find anywhere I can manually sort my email folders.
Can anyone assist?
Thank you
Thomas

I think I figured a workaround. I rename my non sorted new folders with a 2 at the end...example FOLDER2. Then open it, highlight all of the emails in that folder and hit MOVE to "new folder". It asks me for a name and I rename it. That new one from the MOVE to NEWFOLDER actually puts it into my old folder list, alphabetically. THen I delete the EMPTY FOLDER2.
If you switch back to old Outlook and sort them I believe that the sorting will carry over. I wanted some new folders inserted in alphabetical order and was able to do this in old Outlook and then switch back and the change carried through
What a frustrating change!!!!! I did figure out a work around that is working for me. I added all of the folders I needed to reorganize into my favorites. For some reason in the favorites menu, you can rearrange the folders like we used to. I added probably 40 folders with no issues. Hope that helps.
Also it doesn't seem to be a setting to have all folders collapsed when you are moving messages to it's respective folder. You need to scroll through multiple folders and subfolders before finding the folder that you want. Very, very annoying.
