Cannot manually sort folders with new Outlook

Hi All

I'm loving the new Outlook, however I'm having real difficulty manually sorting my email folders.

Clicking & dragging the folder, only allows me to drop the folder INTO another folder, but doesn't allow me to drop it in between other folders (meaning I cannot re-arrange / sort the folders manually).

Right clicking the folder and clicking "Move", again only allows me to move the folder INTO another folder. There is no "move up or down" option unfortunately.

It is currently sorting my folders in alphabetical order, but I wish to change this. I have been through all the settings and cannot find anywhere I can manually sort my email folders.

Can anyone assist?

    Hey,

    Unsure if this has been officially solved yet, but I "switched" back to the old Outlook, and then back to the new one and all folders were sorted alphabetically!

    The fact nobody from Microsoft has engaged or responded to this thread, in such a long time, is certainly very worrying. It does give the impression that they don't care.

    Even if they replied with "Yeah sorry we can't do it yet, because X Y Z" at least then they're managing our expectations & acknowledging the issue. But the radio silence is deafening :(

    Are you sure you're not using the Classic version of Outlook rather than the New one? There is no Folder tab in New Outlook.

    Exactly! This is my issue and I'm glad you posted this. I'm ok with the alphabetical sorting, I just need to get my new folders into the list!

    Argh this is not the thread I wanted to find - I wanted to find the trick to this apparently simple thing... agree with all of you saying this is BASIC and VITAL and I can't believe it's still not in place after a very long time... back to old outlook I go
