Cannot manually sort folders with new Outlook

Hi All

I'm loving the new Outlook, however I'm having real difficulty manually sorting my email folders.

Clicking & dragging the folder, only allows me to drop the folder INTO another folder, but doesn't allow me to drop it in between other folders (meaning I cannot re-arrange / sort the folders manually).

Right clicking the folder and clicking "Move", again only allows me to move the folder INTO another folder. There is no "move up or down" option unfortunately.

It is currently sorting my folders in alphabetical order, but I wish to change this. I have been through all the settings and cannot find anywhere I can manually sort my email folders.

Can anyone assist?

Thank you

Thomas

Why on earth MS insist on removing perfectly sensible features in so called NEW software is a mystery. Windows 11 right click File Explorer menu is still inferior to the Windows 10 version and requires two steps to delete a file unless you add a key to the registry to sort the problem out. And we STILL don't have the option to sort Outlook folders in the order WE want after a year?. We pay MS for this software so how about giving us what WE need and not what your developers, who clearly don't use the software they produce for productivity, insist of foisting upon us?

How many of us feel like this New Outlook rollout has the feel of Windows Vista and Windows 8, where MS didn't listen to their customer base and thought they knew best? I'll say this again: MS's new motto seems to be, "Almost good enough for government work." In other words, it's basically useless. Microsoft, please get your act together, get your egos out of the clouds, remember who your customer base is, and get back to creating what we need.

Biggest problem is that my company will delete emails over three months old if in the Inbox folder - there are emails I need to keep longer.

Will not be using the new Outlook and will have to find something else to use for work.

Good job Microsoft! You keep fixing things that aren't broken and breaking them.
