Using Classic Outlook on Windows for personal email, calendar, and contact management
Cannot manually sort folders with new Outlook
Hi All
I'm loving the new Outlook, however I'm having real difficulty manually sorting my email folders.
Clicking & dragging the folder, only allows me to drop the folder INTO another folder, but doesn't allow me to drop it in between other folders (meaning I cannot re-arrange / sort the folders manually).
Right clicking the folder and clicking "Move", again only allows me to move the folder INTO another folder. There is no "move up or down" option unfortunately.
It is currently sorting my folders in alphabetical order, but I wish to change this. I have been through all the settings and cannot find anywhere I can manually sort my email folders.
Can anyone assist?
Thank you
Thomas

2024-08-29T14:39:34+00:00 This has been reported over a year ago with no correction. As you can see from this post and all the activity this is needed. Why would you remove this ability from previous versions that people used frequently. Creating a favorite and adding folders it not an option with 100s of folders.

2024-08-21T13:48:56+00:00 Hi...
It's now Aug 2024, I am unable to see a solution, and this is STILL a problem.
I need to be able to move my folders up and down.
I was forced to the new outlook email and it is definitely NOT user friendly.
Please fix!!!
Cheers
