Cannot manually sort folders with new Outlook

Hi All

I'm loving the new Outlook, however I'm having real difficulty manually sorting my email folders.

Clicking & dragging the folder, only allows me to drop the folder INTO another folder, but doesn't allow me to drop it in between other folders (meaning I cannot re-arrange / sort the folders manually).

Right clicking the folder and clicking "Move", again only allows me to move the folder INTO another folder. There is no "move up or down" option unfortunately.

It is currently sorting my folders in alphabetical order, but I wish to change this. I have been through all the settings and cannot find anywhere I can manually sort my email folders.

Can anyone assist?

Thank you

Thomas

Bumping this! This is a real convenience issue. I would assume that this feature would have been addressed and added in as this is a pretty basic feature that is much needed for those who have a higher volume of emails.

This is becoming ridiculous.. The "new" Outlook is out for a while now, and there is still no option to sort all my work folders in a way I WANT. And no response from MS for a long time... Any updates? This basic feature is not rocket science, so why is it still not in the outlook?

I *finally* tried to adopt New Outlook, and this was the first thing I tried to customize.

Please MS, allow us to custom organize our folders.

Not even kidding, very first thing I did.

Alternative is to number the folders so they are in your numbered order.

bumping this in the hopes i will not have to switch from outlook. The entire company needs this feature and how crazy that Microsoft would look over something so simple. constantly needing updates but never updating features that are actually needed.

    I have a workaround.

    1. Created a temporary folder named Temp
    2. Moved all folders into the Temp folder
    3. One at a time, I moved folders from Temp to Inbox based on how I wanted them to appear

    * For example, if I wanted a folder to appear last, I would move it first

    1. Deleted Temp folder

NOTE: Until they resolve the issue, this is the workaround I have found that works
