New Outlook - Where is the option for the "Search Folders" where we can save searches ?

Once CoPilot was available in "Classic" Outlook, I reverted back. I'm much happier with "Classic" Outlook. BTW, this is bringing back memories of the "New" Coca-Cola debacle and return of "Classic" Coke. Someone at Microsoft didn't pay attention during their Marketing classes.

I just wanted to chime in with a suggestion on why I think it's really important to prioritize adding Search Folders to the New Outlook. Let me share my experience.

So, I've been using both the New Outlook and the old Outlook side by side for quite a while now. The reason?

The New Outlook is now my go-to for the calendar (hot key to win+2 as my 2nd task bar app) because Microsoft replaced the old calendar and mail apps, which means I'm stuck with the New Outlook for the use case of just viewing today's agenda.

But here's the thing—while the New Outlook works for the calendar, it doesn't have Search Folders, which are a critical part of my daily email routine. Without them, I can't efficiently organize and find my emails, so I end up having to keep the classic Outlook around for that purpose.

It's kind of frustrating because the New Outlook is heavier and more complex, especially when I just need something lightweight for viewing the calendar. If the Search Folders feature were added to the New Outlook, it would make a huge difference for people like me who rely on them every day. It would also mean I could finally streamline my workflow and use just one tool instead of juggling two.

After trying to live with New Outlook for months now, I gave up and reverted to classic. My understanding is we won't be compelled to move to NEW for quite some time, which I sincerely hope is true.

I wanted to like it but I really, really need useful search folders that are highly configurable (see "Classic Outlook"). I don't have time mess with all the steps I need to do all the time get the same functionality in new, especially when, as a developer, I know how very, very easy it would be to add this functionality.

The search folders are there in the new outlook but the options are pathetic. A far cry from all of the fields available in the old outlook. This whole notion that that they will take away functionality and only add it back if enough people will vote for it is ridiculous. 20% of employees generate 80% of value in any given company. one of the reasons is that they are smart about using advanced tools to increase their productivity. and now MS decided to take away those advanced tools until the 80% votes for them. does anybody see a problem with that logic???

here's an idea. perhaps instead of relying on voting you would actually track the actual usage and not take away active features??? especially the power features that have outsized impact on productivity.

I could not agree more. I have basically reverted back to the Classic Outlook. I typically try out new versions of tools for my team but I had to abandon the new version, here. The timeline where we will be forced to switch is quite a long one and I can't afford to lose productivty to manually screwing around with searches all day.
