New Outlook - Where is the option for the "Search Folders" where we can save searches ?

I agree. I see this as a "we don't like any of the UX designs we have tried so far" combined with an 80/20 (meaning the "power users" are not a significant enough component of the user base to warrant development teams working on this.

To me, it is indispensable, so I am just on Classic. If (at some point) Classic goes away, I will probably use Thunderbird or eM Client. I basically abandoned em Client (which I paid for) because the calendar integration kept breaking and I spend all day in meetings (please send help) so I need good, integrated calendar ops so back to Outlook.

Having been using computers since the early 1980s, I have tried not to adopt an "it is the children who are wrong" mindset, so I try to use new products long enough to be very sure it's the product and not my thinking that needs to change.

I did go a very long time with this one, but in the end, I needed to revert back. Being able to click on a folder and see exactly what I need to see at the time I need it without fiddling around with things as simple as constraining to a given folder is just table stakes for me (and probably everyone else who uses Outlook for more than just reading email linearly).

The search issues with Outlook drove me to Thunderbird for a while but the incompatibilities slowly creeping in with O365 and the lack of good calendar support pushed me back. I feel like a prisoner in the Outlook jail sometimes.

They need to add this feature to outlook web. Outlook web is treated as the unwanted stepchild when it should be the main focus.

In order to further secure a laptop and not keep data on it locally, most companies are moving to web-based email only (no local outlook). Microsoft is so far behind in this regard. There are so many things that outlook web still can not do. They need to stop development of the outlook for Windows application and focus on the multiplatform, and more secure web app.

Is there a similar feature ?
