Using older versions of Outlook for Mac in business environments
Regarding the multitude of problems with Outlook & Mac such as syncing, re-synching, inability to receive/send emails, etc. There has been discussion by various support staff to "solve" our problems by changing the server settings for accounts in Outlook. There's a post from Sudhanshu describing changing our imap & stmp port settings . It made no sense to me since "imap" server has always been for incoming & "smtp" has been for outgoing mail. Since the "old" settings didn't work most of the time, I reversed the imap & smtp servings I'd used forever to the "new" ones . It didn't work. So rather than occasionally getting mail by OUTLOOK for some of my 4 accounts, I'M GETTING NONE and must use Yahoo to check my mail.
BTW, has anyone ever solved the issue of finding the "Missing" folders that occurred when transitioning to Legacy? I've wondered if they could be recovered in Time Machine, but haven't had the time to research it.
One last question..... Has anyone heard discussion of a possible Class Action lawsuit against Microsoft over all this mess? We were taken for a ride, for sure and many have suffered a lots of both financial and non-financial losses as a result of this fiasco. If a class action lawsuit against Apple for its keyboard problems succeeded, I'd think this is a far more widespread issue.
