I can't believe I have to ask something so dumb but how to I make Outlook ask me every time where to save the email attachments that I am downloading instead of automatically putting them in the Downloads folder?

Outlook | Windows | Classic Outlook for Windows | For home

wowwww... that's so disappointing. I am having this issue as well. I feel that technology has gotten more complicated rather than more simpler recently...

    WOW! There is finally progress!

I have Outlook Version  1.2024.103.100 , and when I now click Download on an attachment, a Save As... dialog appears!

    Finally! :-)

NOTE: Client Version is 20240105004.01 .

Not in the desktop app, only in web.

I have Microsoft Outlook Version 1.2024.103.100 (Production) and Client Version 20231215008.10. Still outlook saves attachment in a default folder without asking me to choose one
