I can't believe I have to ask something so dumb but how to I make Outlook ask me every time where to save the email attachments that I am downloading instead of automatically putting them in the Downloads folder?

Outlook | Windows | Classic Outlook for Windows | For home

Thank you for the useful information.

I tried it and was able to "save as" for PDFs and images by using the shortcut (ctrl+s).

However, with PowerPoint and Excel (Microsoft products) files, "Save As" was not possible even after trying the above methods.

Do you know how to do "Save As" with PowerPoint and Excel files?

On the desktop app, click preview, click within the item you're actually previewing then Ctrl+S. You have to actually click within the preview before hitting Ctrl+S.
