I tried the new Outlook for windows, I realized the File menu -and others- disappeared.
How can I open a .PST file? to work on old mail files?

2025, yet New Outlook still doesn't have this capability? Why M$ forces this on folks is beyond me (I don't consider cloud app profits a good reason to deploy). I have nothing nice to say, so I'll take our mother's advice and not say anything more.
So when do you think the NEW OUTLOOK will be able to open pst files??? We now have 2025!!!!!!!
There is no option to turn off the New Outlook. I saw one on YouTube when trying to find a solution but doesn't exist on mine. Please give a better solution.
The new outlook is not a reasonable only solution for me or the company I work for until the .pst files are implemented. I like how it allows for a fluid connection between Microsoft To-Do and Microsoft Calendar, but the missing .pst feature has made it so that I only use the "new Microsoft" as a backup/secondary app. The old Microsoft must continue to be accessible for our workflow and archiving, until .pst files can be used.
A fixed date to define the "coming soon" that was noted on May 22, 2023 (perhaps sooner) would certainly be encouraging!

I rarely use Outlook now, although I used it for years when I was working and when I had a Cox account. After that I went to GMail for about the last 8 years. I have been using a subscription Microsoft 365 for many years primarily for Excel and Word. I recently came across an archived Personal.pst file and I wanted to view the contents. This is what prompted me to go to Outlook because when I doubled clicked on it, a message said that it could only be opened using Outlook. Lies and deceit. Can't be done and it looks like it can't be done for some time now. Unbelievable. Incredible that what used to be a very robust program has shrunk down to nothing. MY daughter uses Outlook at work and still has the selection at the top to revert to an older version so she can access other .pst file. Unfortunately, my "new" version doesn't have that capability. Who decides these unproductive and idiotic changes. Something smells fishy here. It would appear that Microsoft is in no hurry to deal with this. I assume there are other more important issues that warrant the attention of their fiscal 2024 reported $75.5B in cash/equivalents and net earnings of $88B. Too bad ... I expected more.
