When clicking a PDF attached to a message on the NEW outlook 2023 ( Microsoft Outlook Version 1.2023.427.500 (Production) Client Version is 20230421002.12) ,There is a Preview screen that opens to the left of the message with the PDF.
If I would like, for instance, to sign or add text to the PDF document I have received , there is no way I can open it in Adobe Acrobat unless I download, save to my PC (also very complicated...see my previous question in this forum) and then double click to open.
Can someone direct me please to a better way?

The fact Microsoft has done nothing to address this major issue is beyond frustrating! What are they doing

They say they are only starting (Sep 2023) to work on allowing attachments to open in native apps but they don't even mention timelines for some of the items on this slide

In the pages of items, I don't see anything resembling "open files in native apps" (except for Office documents) or "sharing with native apps"
I think classic Outlook is going to be around for a long time as it appears feature parity years away.
