When clicking a PDF attached to a message on the NEW outlook 2023 ( Microsoft Outlook Version 1.2023.427.500 (Production) Client Version is 20230421002.12) ,There is a Preview screen that opens to the left of the message with the PDF.
If I would like, for instance, to sign or add text to the PDF document I have received , there is no way I can open it in Adobe Acrobat unless I download, save to my PC (also very complicated...see my previous question in this forum) and then double click to open.
Can someone direct me please to a better way?

I can open Microsoft documents in the actual Microsoft desktop apps directly from the email, but not PDF documents (same problem everyone else has). It seems Microsoft is only trying to stop people using "non-Microsoft" applications, or at least make it cumbersome. When opening, e.g. Powerpoint docs in the email, the preview page opens up but there is a drop-down menu in the top ribbon which allows me to "Open in Powerpoint Desktop App" and make it the default.
Not only can you not open PDFs in a PDF editor, You can not:
Open Word files in Word.
Open PowerPoint files in PowerPoint.
Open txt files in Notepad++.
Basically, they wrote the new Outlook as if it were not installed on a PC.
This is like a dumbed down tablet version.
at least improve your PDF viewer e.g add the option to sign the document, otherwise its useless.
Agreed, this is ridiculous. Now I need to keep this from my users for as long as possible.
This thing is hot garbage, and with no way to leave feedback, How am I supposed to let them know that this is unusable before they helpfully force it on my users? (Probably because they decided that no feedback meant it was an awesome, bugless software!)
