Opening PDF document in Adobe Acrobat from new Outlook 2023

When clicking a PDF attached to a message on the NEW outlook 2023 ( Microsoft Outlook Version 1.2023.427.500 (Production) Client Version is 20230421002.12) ,There is a Preview screen that opens to the left of the message with the PDF.

If I would like, for instance, to sign or add text to the PDF document I have received , there is no way I can open it in Adobe Acrobat unless I download, save to my PC (also very complicated...see my previous question in this forum) and then double click to open.

Can someone direct me please to a better way?

    It has been added to the roadmap for the New, early release, alpha version of Outlook they're pushing out. You know the "New Outlook".

    A/B testing, with no B option, has said we do not want everything to open in Outlook, so they're grudgingly fixing it.

    It only took a year, they added it to the roadmap in June, 2024. This thread started in May 2023.

    Yikes. Trillion dollar company; shows what they care about. Making bank, trying to keep people in their ecosystem.

    Patience can start to fail when you wait for something good 😊 I'm convinced they care. Microsoft 365 is not a small program but a large platform. Some functions and solutions just take a different amount of time to solve when you need to have an overall perspective on all the functions that are part of an entire platform. Having said that, I choose to look at the matter positively and if you read the Microsoft Roadmap today, you can read this good news which hopefully also improves (solves) the topic we discussed in this thread. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/roadmap?filters=&searchterms=401123 Let's keep our fingers crossed that this resolves the matter
