I was having an issue figuring out how the spell check worked. My coworker said when you are in a New Message window, and the Message tab, at the top far right of the ribbon, click the "..." and go down to Editor, and then Editor Settings.

At first, when I tried this, Editor was greyed out, but it might have been because I was already in the middle of composing an email. When I opened a new message I was able to get to the Editor Settings.

All the settings were already enabled, but it seemed I had to open the Editor settings at least once for it to "activate" Now spell check works in my Outlook.

Right-clicking a misspelled word won't work. You have to left-click the word to see the spell-check suggestions.

    That's a great tip... next problem: what if you use more than one language? I have both English and German spelling and proofing installed. It should switch when you change the keyboard, but new Outlook doesn't. Pretty sure MS Mail used to do that... but of course I can't check that now.

    I manged to change back fairly easily BUT that was a while ago and I cannot recall details, think it was just the same button, somewhere in top right-hand side of screen and it was a simple 'revert to previous' button. That said, it was an almost immediate change back, less than 30 minutes so maybe if you can't find it it is time limited? Not sure.

    Thanks Ashraf, I will probably change again in the near future, new versions of anything always take some time to get used to. One reply below has details of how to change the editing when starting a new message so I may try that.
