I was having an issue figuring out how the spell check worked. My coworker said when you are in a New Message window, and the Message tab, at the top far right of the ribbon, click the "..." and go down to Editor, and then Editor Settings.

At first, when I tried this, Editor was greyed out, but it might have been because I was already in the middle of composing an email. When I opened a new message I was able to get to the Editor Settings.

All the settings were already enabled, but it seemed I had to open the Editor settings at least once for it to "activate" Now spell check works in my Outlook.

Right-clicking a misspelled word won't work. You have to left-click the word to see the spell-check suggestions.

I was able to get my spell check working after having Editor button greyed out by doing the following.

    1. Opened a new email and popped it out into its own window.
    2. I was then able to right click in the blank composition space to get a context menu.
    3. I turned off "Check spelling when entering text"
    4. I closed out the email and repeated 1-2.
    5. I then turned on "Check spelling when entering text".

Spell check now works with "right click" for me but ONLY when the window is popped out on its own. Never works within Outlook.

Frankly, this new version is not ready for public consumption or even Beta status. This is still Alpha...

How do you add spellcheck to the ribbon in New Outlook? I am really disappointed in the changes that have been made to Old Outlook. Maybe next time you should ask a user before making changes.

I found that spell check was not working when I worked on "within the Outlook window" but when I expanded the message into its own window, spellcheck worked as it should.
