I was having an issue figuring out how the spell check worked. My coworker said when you are in a New Message window, and the Message tab, at the top far right of the ribbon, click the "..." and go down to Editor, and then Editor Settings.

At first, when I tried this, Editor was greyed out, but it might have been because I was already in the middle of composing an email. When I opened a new message I was able to get to the Editor Settings.

All the settings were already enabled, but it seemed I had to open the Editor settings at least once for it to "activate" Now spell check works in my Outlook.

Right-clicking a misspelled word won't work. You have to left-click the word to see the spell-check suggestions.

    Yea its the New outlook, but I am not running microsoft 365, so apparently I can't use spell check without 365, if thats correct its not really an inprovement over the regular Outlook

    I don't understand what you are trying to get across. I cannot find any spelling and when I miss spell a word, I have to look it up in my human dictionary. Where is my beautiful Windows 7!

    Thank you. It is now working again. with your instructions . Hard to believe this is what is needed , they couldn't of just had a simple switch that said "automatic Spell Check Word Suggestions" .... why hide it ?

    Outlook New, In my case, Microsoft Outlook Version 1.2024.319.300 (Production). Client Version is 20240322005.09 .
