I was having an issue figuring out how the spell check worked. My coworker said when you are in a New Message window, and the Message tab, at the top far right of the ribbon, click the "..." and go down to Editor, and then Editor Settings.

At first, when I tried this, Editor was greyed out, but it might have been because I was already in the middle of composing an email. When I opened a new message I was able to get to the Editor Settings.

All the settings were already enabled, but it seemed I had to open the Editor settings at least once for it to "activate" Now spell check works in my Outlook.

Right-clicking a misspelled word won't work. You have to left-click the word to see the spell-check suggestions.

    Accodring to Microsoft officials, in the "New" Outlook app there is no spellcheck feature.

    Also I know there is an editor feature but that option is greyed out.

    Settings > General > Privacy and Data > Privacy Settings > Connected Experiences > Turn on experiences that analyze your content.

    The explanation was pretty clear and when applied and re-started the Spell Checker has worked ever since

    It's frustrating that you can't set your own changes in the New Outlook and Microsoft should revisit this. I work with people internationally who have characters in their names that are not in the English language, so I had autocorrect setup to spell their names with the correct characters. I also had quick settings for terms I use often (like instead of typing "Thanks!" hundreds of times a day, I had it set with ,, because you never use two commas in a row).

    That's a great tip... next problem: what if you use more than one language? I have both English and German spelling and proofing installed. It should switch when you change the keyboard, but new Outlook doesn't. Pretty sure MS Mail used to do that... but of course I can't check that now.
