Dear All,
Outlook offered to switch my application to the new Outlook version (there is a switch item below the window close button).
It looks like the in-browser version and works better than the former, but it has a missing option in the attachments drop-down menu, called 'save as'.
We get a lot of documents in our emails, which should be saved in different projects' locations on a local hard drive. The in-browser version and the former desktop app have this option but this new app does not.
How can I add this function back again?

Using Classic Outlook on Windows for personal email, calendar, and contact management

The fact that this SIMPLIST of functions of missing from New Outlook is a joke. An actual joke! I understand New outlook is still been developed but its like testing a prototype car without indicators installed.
Come on Microsoft. Its not even April 1st.
I just decided to test out the new Outlook and when I encountered this issue I immediately searched for it. I am shocked to discover that this was first addressed in May and it's now October and it hasn't been changed. I reverted back to the old Outlook within 10 minutes of trying the new one because of this missing functionality.
I did the same - went back to Mail immediately. What bugs me is this statement from MS - "If you're not interested in trying the new Outlook for Windows, you can stop using Windows Mail and Calendar and instead manage your email and calendar through your service’s webmail application, or a different email client. Support for Windows Mail, Calendar, and People is ending in 2024." It seems that they don't give a damn and even a tiny fix like this, which so many have been asking for, is not worth their time. Goodbey Outlook/Mail and hello Mozilla or one of the otehr clients.

WOW! Says a lot about what they think about the people who pay their wages, that's a shocking statement. Maybe we all need to vote with our feet. Thanks for taking the time to respond.
