I have switched over to the "New Outlook" and some functions did not switch over also. How do I turn on the auto capitalization of the 1st word of a sentence? How do I turn back on auto capitalizing the letter i? Thank you for any help!!!!

Such a valid point! It really shouldn't be called or considered a "feature". It's literally basic English grammar!

Tammy, I have a question for you on the workaround you suggested above "You can change the case of selected text in an email message by clicking the Change Case button"

Does the process you explained have to be done EVERY time you start a new email or reply to an email or does it stay in place and is automatically applied to all emails once you use the "Change Case" method?

Overall, I still think the issue needs to be fixed, not sure how Microsoft released this knowing this was a flaw/error. A couple of weeks ago, I could not get Outlook to capitalize the first letter of a sentence, but now I feel like sometimes it does it and sometimes it doesn't, I'm seeing inconsistency. Until it's fixed permanently, I'm interested in the workaround.

    Thank you!

this response does not solve the problem at all. do you have any understanding of how people work? did m$ do any kind of ui testing before it released such a defective product.

but this is why we should be moving AWAY from these horrible companies products.

it is extremely frustrating...no one gave microsoft feedback and asked to turn off sentence case or auto correcting i to I.....

its just a mistake and preventing me from using the web version or the 'new' version...its just silly and bad.
