I have switched over to the "New Outlook" and some functions did not switch over also. How do I turn on the auto capitalization of the 1st word of a sentence? How do I turn back on auto capitalizing the letter i? Thank you for any help!!!!

In New Outlook, open a new email.

    1. In the upper right, click the elipsis (...)
    2. Hover over Editor and click Editor Settings.
    3. Click to Enable auto capitalization.

There are several other Editor Options available there as well.

Indeed: the settings are there, but they don't do anything.

I agree, this is reason enough to switch back to the previous Outlook version. This looks to have been a request for over a year that is outstanding.

Not working for me today still. I have just installed new Outlook a couple of days ago.

Not sure what to say, Roger. That setting worked for me, sorry it didn't for you.

Perhaps toggle everything off, make sure Outlook is up-to-date, close and reopen Outlook and toggle the settings back on?

    Good luck.
