I have switched over to the "New Outlook" and some functions did not switch over also. How do I turn on the auto capitalization of the 1st word of a sentence? How do I turn back on auto capitalizing the letter i? Thank you for any help!!!!

THIS!!!!!! I didn't realize how much I used this function until the new outlook. Now I have to save it as an email file and THEN attach.
Well... since self-capitalization of the "I" pronoun, as well as autocapitalizing the first letter after a ".", was a feature present in the old Outlook, and it's a default feature of other MS product whose focus is the act of writing, such as MS Word, removing it is not "improving features" or "aligning to customer feedback".
That would have been true if the pronoun "I" setting was only applicable when typing in English, as other languages might not require it (as a matter of facts, it was quite boring writing in Italian, when that feature was there).
But removing them and passing it as an improvement after years in which the product had worked in a certain way is an excuse at best. And a bad one!
Plus: capitalizing the first work after a "." is true for any language using latin characters...
Please bring it back as soon as you can.
AMEN!!! I work in higher education and when we were offered the option to merge slowly to the new Outlook, before the permanent transition, I was excited. When I realized that this was an issue, I almost felt stupid reaching out to our internal IT guy asking for help because I should be able to find this as a feature, being that it is the proper usage of grammar. My IT guy is great and was dumbfounded once he realized that it was a real issue and not me overlooking something. This is the most ridiculous thing ever and the fact that it is still not fixed is beyond me. You said it best with your comment!
This is a ridiculous answer. The new Outlook does not follow basic grammar rules so it needs to be fixed. Sentences always start with a capital letter, I alone always capitalised. I note when I type this message the I corrects and the new sentences start with a capital letter. Not sure who which 'Partners' consulted to make the new Outlook format differently to the old but they are clearly clueless when it comes to basis grammar.
I find it hilarious that even that first response, whilst in depth, the fifth 'word' was a lower case 'I'
